Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 9/30/2012(UTC) Posts: 1		Haier chest freezer stopped freezing, compressor clicks every few seconds, like it is turning on and off. Compressor is hot to the touch, and the power light is on. Is it a thermostat, or a compressor starter (or something else). Will the parts be hard to find, parts websites don't even list this model number. Serial number is 0907000550 purchased 3-6-10

I also cannot find any info on the unit but following is a site with info on how to check out a compressor. How To Fix a Refrigerator - Appliance Repair Guide - ACME HOW TO.com Note that even if the compressor checks out OK electrically it may still have mechanical problems. Only way to tell for sure is to try a new start device. They have access to more info than comes up on the web site and lots of experience with parts. They may be able to help you.
