My Sears gas (propane) dryer starts up and fires the burner fine at the beginning of the cycle, then the heat shuts off after about 2 minutes and doesn't seem to come back on through the rest of the cycle. The clothes don't dry unless I run them through 3 cycles. I already replaced the thermostat accessible in the front bottom of the dryer, and thoroughly cleaned out all the lint and confirmed the vent is clear. What should I do next to diagnose/repair this dryer? Thank you!

Most likely the problem with your dryer caused by a bad gas valve coils.

- The part number for the kit of the gas valve coils is AP2150379

Gene.

I have a Maytag LDG7600 that does the same thing, lights and heats at the beginning of the cycle and then the gas shuts off but it still glows. I've replaced the coils. Any suggestions?

If the new coils did not solve the problem then the whole gas valve has to be replaced.

Thanks for the advice. I'll try replacing the valve.
