Hello,

My heating element was not working and I tested it for continuity and it is burned out. So I purchased a new one and installed it, but it's still not heating up. I'm wondering if the wires are backward but I don't want to switch them and risk burning it out.

I can't find any documentation anywhere as to which leads belong to which wires.

There is a solid purple wire and a white with red stripe wire. The purple appears to be going back into the door up to the switch.

Also, if it's any help, when the Heated Dry switch is on, it continues to drain through the entire drying cycle. If I turn it off, it remains silent through the drying cycle. This is another reason why I think they might be crossed.

Please advise.
Thanks,
Bryan

Hi Bryan,

Remove the latch knob. Remove the inner door panel and check the rocker switch next to the timer.
