It looks like the defrost moisture dripped into the ends where the seals are and shorted it out. I checked it with an ohm meter and am getting a reading of 0. The install seems basic, do you have any pointers on the install?....Thanks

You can use the silicon adhesive sealant to protect the wire connections from moister.
