I cleaned both ovens a couple of days ago. When I tried to use the lower oven today, it would not heat. This occurs with BAKE and BROIL settings. The upper oven works fine. On BAKE, I set the temperature, it shows PRE- BAKE on and temp. Reads 135. I can also hear what I think are 2 separate sounds of relays (?) clicking. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi.

Check if the hi-limit cut off is open, located near the lower latch and it's resettable.

Simon, thanks for the reply. I should have mentioned in my post that I did check the high limit switch.

Hi.

Most likely this is a bad lower oven relay board

Part number: 82985
Part number: 82985

Also, check the harness between the clock and the relay board.

Simon.

Simon, thanks for the reply. Would it be worthwhile to do a continuity check on the high limit switch before ordering this part? When I checked it previously I only pressed the reset button.
Thanks again.

Hi.

I assumed that you checked the continuity. Please do so.

Simon.

I checked both elements for continuity...passed. Hi limit is under top shroud. Is it to lock in? I press it and it doesn't lock. It's center red button flush with its sides. Maybe bad?

First post, thx for the help you all have been so far and on other things.

Brian
