Hi,
I just bought a house 2 weeks ago and it came with the refrigrator and now the Ice/Water dispensor suddenly died on me. Just before that I had no water dispensing but after holding down for about 2 min it worked and suddenly it died on me.
Please HELP!!
Thank you in advance.

If it is not making ice or dispensing water it can be the water filter, water valve or the water supply. I would start with the water filter because it needs to be changed once a year anyways. But before I replaced the water valve I would check to see if there is good water pressure coming in from the water supply. Refrigerator repair guide

Well it is making ice but the dispensor is dead(Non of the lights are on). I did change the water filter soon after I moved in and did check water pressure as well.

Then the problem is either the plug at the hinge, the dispenser board or the main board.

Is there any way to test the dispensor board or the main board?
Thank you so much for quick replies.

Go up to the refrigerator while its running and press the lever to get ice or water. If the compressor and both fans cut off when you do this the main board is bad. I have seen this a few times but not often. If this doesn’t happen take the cover off the hinge at the top of the freezer door and make sure the plug isn’t loose. If you still haven’t found the problem it’s either the main board or the dispenser board and it’s hard to say which one. I will say that the main board goes out more. Refrigerator repair guide
