It's better to replace it. The igniter sold by Frigidaire is very expensive. I believe you can use the universal igniter made by Whirlpool and save more than $100. The only difference between them is the length of the wires. - The OEM igniter Part number: 318177710 - The universal igniter Part number: 12400035 Gene.

Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 8/7/2012(UTC) Posts: 10		I replaced the ignitor and I believe during testing, I blew the safety valve. The broiler still works, but the oven ignitor does not light anymore. There is 120V going into the safety valve. Any suggestions?

I checked the voltage at the ignitor wires (tester grounded to the oven) when the oven was on bake mode. It was 124 or so volts. Obviously, there was no gas being released and the igniter was not glowing at the time. The igniter does have continuity (208 on the tester). Thanks

If the reading is incorrect check for continuity between the gas safety valve terminals (bake part of the valve). If there is no continuity, replace the gas safety valve. - The gas safety valve Part number: 5303210798 Gene.
