The freezer temp is 32 and the food area is 50. Cleaned the condenser coils, found the evaporator iced over defrosted it and checked continuity on the heater it was good.Forced the freezer to defrost most and it worked fine.Compressor sounds like it is running but it is hot to the touch. The compressor and evap. fans are both working.Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem. Thanks Mark

Hi.

The evaporator blocked with snow normally would point to the defrost problem. Because you were able to start defrost manually it's got to be the control board logistics.

The control board Part number: 8201659
Part number: 8201659

This is all good only if the fridge worked fine for a day or two after you defrosted the evaporator.

Post the results.

Simon.
