My dryer seems to heat fine, but the timer does not advance. Do I need to replace the theromstat? Or open it up and check on the "inner ducting"?

Could not find any info on the given Model Number but did find a tech sheet for a 88732794. Perhaps yours is a close match. https://www.servicematters.com/d...0Sheet%20-%203952384.pdfDoes it advance in Timed Dry. If yes, you know the timer motor is OK. I assume the clothes are drying in a normal amount of time, just the timer is not advancing. Clean the Moisture Sensor. This is usually 2 wires mounted in an insulated block. The dampness com[pletes a circuit between the 2 wires tellin the unit that the clothes are still wet. If there is dirt etc.between the wires the unit thinks the clothes are wet and so continues drying without advancing the timer. PS: It is always a good idea to clean/check you vent system every year or so. |
