Hello everyone. This morning my dryer failed to start with a full load of wet towels. As I am completely familiar with repairing this dryer, I did the first things first. Tested circuit breakers at the box. They were blown. Reset them. They blew again. Waited 5 minutes..reset them again and they held. I thought that was odd. I checked the voltage at the outlet..ok. At the dryer...ok. Hmm, well, I started the usual check list of continuity checks.
Door switch..ok. On off switch. Ok. Thermal fuses..ok. 2 of them. One at the blower, one at the coils. (disconnected one wire to test)

This leaves only the Timer and motor..at least I think. Looked at a bunch of videos on youtube. Only thing on Kenmore similar to mine was motor replacement and testing a motor with a different 2 wire connector. Mine has 6 wires and I have no schematic either.

Here is a Sketchup of the connector. 2 large red wires, a green/white, a red/white, a blue and a black wire.

I'm retired, and on a fixed budget and can usually fix darn near anything.
I have a 120v with ground testing cable setup with switch. Problem is..on the motor wiring connector..I don't know which wires at the motor connector to connect hot and neutral to test it. Any help would be appreciated as I don't have money to waste. Just trying to determine if it's the motor or timer. Thanks a mill for any help.

Rick

PS. I did read all I could find here. But nothing on this connector.

Well, ok looks like no one has an answer to the motor test question. In that case, does anyone know where I can find a schematic for this model? I need to fix this ASAP. Five people in the home and no dryer spells LAUNDRY PILING UP.:D Thanks for any help.

I don't know how to change it in the Model field at the top. But at least you have it now. Sorry guys. Hopefully someone can help me with this now.
