Hello-
It is a 2010 stainless steel Whirlpool Frig. with bottom freezer and dispenser-Model # GI5FSAXVY02. The touch pad keys are not working in three functions: #1-the water dispenser key will not activate when pushed. #2-the frig. temp. control-arrow up-key will not increase temp., but will lower temp. #3-the dispenser light key doesn't function when pushed. Checking which part may be required for these malfunctions?
Thanks-Randy

Hi.

Disassemble the dispenser, remove the ribbon connector from the control board and clean it with isopropyl alcohol or the pencil eraser. If that doesn't help - replace the overlay pad Part number: W10315980
Part number: W10315980

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for Whirlpool GI5FSAXVY02 REFRIGERATOR | AppliancePartsPros.com

Thank you. Post the results.

Thank you, sorry for my question. Can you inform me the safest way to remove the dispenser panel and once I get it off is the ribbon easy to find to clean or can you describe it?
Again thanks, Randy

Hi.

Take the drip tray out, remove two screws and you should be able to take the frame out. The ribbon connector is behind the frame. Unplug the unit just in case.

Simon, do I clean both, the ribbon connector and control board or just the ribbon connecter with alcohol?
Thanks

If you will clean the control board make sure that it's completely dry before plugging it in.
