I thought a couple drum rollers might fix the horrendous squeek coming from my dryer but after replacing them I am looking elswhere. The belt appears to me a little worn as a few strands are coming loose but with a flashlight im guessing the tensioner pulley might be the real problem. Or possible a bearing somewhere. Any ideas??

Hi.

Most likely it's the idler pulley and the shaft.Check if you need both , then order pulley and arm.

The other possibility is motor bearings.

Here is the breakdown diagram Motor drive replacement parts for Maytag MDE9316AYW DRYER- ELE | AppliancePartsPros.com

Thank you. Post the results.

Simon.
