I replaced the timer with one ordered from Appliance Parts Pros. I believe the Parts Pros p/n is AP4043083. The timer has stopped working again after being installed mid Feb 09. Would appreciate advice on whether this is most likely a normal early life failure of the part or if something else is causing the early failure. Does not advance in any mode, even simple timed mode. Sensor in dryer is clean. Connections in control panel appear tight. Dryer heats & dries normally if timed manually and turned off by hand.

Its POSSIBLE but not likely that the timer is bad again. check to make sure you have 120v going to the timer.
