The "normal" light flashes on my control panel. But that's it. I have tried disconnecting the power for five minutes. When Iturn it back on the light is off. Non of the other buttons lit up, except the cancel button. I can turn it off by pressing Hi temp and start at the same time. I don't know if the control panel or board, or both are faulty? Please advise Can not locate the tech sheet.

Usually, the tech sheet is "hidden" under and behind the kick plate. On mine, I remove the kick plate and there is a plastic sleeve and the tech sheet is inside that sleeve.
However, for me this tech sheet is a bunch of mumbo jumbo. A few months back my "super duper" kitchenaid kepad started blinking then not then staying lit, and not starting. After all the suggestions on this board (you can look at my other thread) of checking the continutiy of the heating elements and micro switches, it ended up that the keypad user interface board was shorted/faulty and probably because there was an itsy bitsy crack over the start button membrane on the plastic panel. For me these were two separate parts to order - the control board - which was the plastic panel with the plastic membrane to go over the buttons and then the user interface which was a computer board looking thing that had the buttons. Easy fix and probably saved me a couple of hundred dollars doing it myself.
A few days ago, the darn thing stopped working again; it was the thermal fuse. It was charred on one side. But, I also checked the hi-temp thermostat and the thermistor for continuity/resistance to make sure I didn't need to order anything else. I ordered from here, got the thermal fuse today and replaced it and viola! it is working again! Another $125 saved i figure for the service call and upcharged part.
I share my experience in order to help you troubleshoot your situation. I'm thinking that button control board/panel and/or thermal fuse. Could be both. Carolyn
