Frontload Washer - motor or motor control problem?

My Frigidaire GLTF1040AS0 front-loader has stopped agitating and spinning -no motion at all. I have removed the top, and the drive belt is intact. How do I determine whether it's the motor, or something that controls the motor that's broken? Thanks! --CC

Remove front bottom panel and pull out the service sheet. Follow the chain diagrams to check components like the timer and speed control boards. You will need a meter to check.

Thanks, I found the sheet. I have a multimeter, and with the help of a more experienced neighbor, I believe I can determine whether it's the motor or the control circuit board.

OK, the culprit is looking like the circuit board. The decision path on the sheet says (among other things) to replace the board if the fuse on the board is blown (the fuse is cloudy so I can't see the filament, but there's no continuity). Before I drop $150 on a board, I wonder if I should try replacing the fuse. By the look of it this is not meant to be easy - there's a standard printed caution about using the same amp rating, but the glass inline fuse is more or less permanently mounted. Before I order the replacement board, has anyone replaced a fuse?
