i have the GE problem where the freezer melts the ice tray and top two shelves and then refreezes. i replaced the thermistor on the coils last week and noticed that yesterday the freezer melted again. would my next step be to replace the motherboard?
thanks for any help. i was told the part # was AP4481481

Sounds like you are on the right track. It sounds like the unit is getting stuck in defrost cycle. The part number you posted is the correct part number. It would not hurt to replace the freezer thermistor at the same time. The part is really inexpensive. - The thermistor Part number: WR55X10025
