So a buzz sound started up about two days ago and seems to reoccur every 15 minutes. At first I replaced the capacitor and relay since I had that problem about two years ago, but the buzzing persists. The condenser is slightly warm to the touch but seems to be running fine and it seems the sound is eminating from behind the condenser, deeper in the refrigerator. The condenser fan is running fine. The fridge and freezer are cooling normally. Could my problem be the evaporator motor? Any other guesses?

Remove the freezer back panel and check where the noise is, you might find
something vibrating, or the cap tube area where it is attached to the evaporator coil is the source.

So the sound occurs every 15 minutes and when I open the freezer it immediately stops, making it impossible to tell what's going on... I didn't see anything in the manual about what happens on a 15 minute cycle, but does that tell anyone about what the problem part could be?

Did you ever figure this out? My fridge started doing this about 6 months ago but it got louder and more constant. Finally the fridge stopped working. We had someone come out and repair it. I wasn't here so I am not sure what he did but it really didn't help much. The noise started back a couple days later and finally it has gone out again. The fridge isn't all that old in comparisson to other ones that we've had. Heck, we had one in the garage and put it in our addition that's about 16 years old.
