My dishwasher fills with water, will run the entire cycle, but does not wash. I discovered that the pump motor was not running. I tested it with a volt meter and it is getting power when it should be running and is not when it shouldn't, so this tells me the board is good. My question is there a reset button on the motor (haven't pulled it out of the counter yet), or is time to just replace the motor?
PS: I turned the cooling fan blades hoping to "jump start" it, but still nothing.

I removed the motor and the black battery looking thing (I assume this is some kind of transformer) was swollen and melted. Since the only way to fix this is to replace the whole $180.00 motor assemply, we decided to just replace the machine. It is 5 years old and we have never liked it (sorry GE) anyway.
