I just purchased a Maytag Neptune stacked washer/dryer unit. It was purchased used, but it appears that the prior owner never installed it or used it. Part of a planned remodel, which never happened, I guess. It appears to be brand new.

Anyways, I brought it home and hooked it up. The washer is working great and the dryer spins, but will not get hot. Cold air only.

It is a gas dryer.

This unit was purchased from a house which was on the edge of town, so now I am wondering if perhaps it was set up for propane use, rather than natural gas. If this is the case, how do I tell?

If that's not the issue, what is the likely culprit?

How do I access the parts for this dryer? Do I have to pull it out (it is a tight squeeze in the laundry closet), or can it be serviced from the front?

Thanks for your assistance!

There are many things that can make this dryer not heat. Being set up for the wrong type of gas is not one of them.

Can you see the ignitor come on?
