Hi:

I have a 4 year old side by side fridge and the frame between the freezer and the fridge is hot to touch (and freezer temp is 7 degrees). We had this problem before and vacuumed the dust from underneath the fridge. I saw on another post for a whirlpool fridge to clean condenser coils. The manual says that you only need to vacuum.

Any advice on how to fix this myself?

Thanks

Hi.

Open the back compressor cover and check if the condenser motor runs. If it's not - replace it and the control board.

The condenser coils must be clean so the air flow over them will cool the compressor. Use the appliance brush and spray it with deluded household Simple green.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Unit replacement parts for Whirlpool KSCS25FSMS03 REFRIGERATOR | AppliancePartsPros.com

Thank you. Post the results.

Simon.
