I just received a new thaw heater for my GE Monogram and when I pulled it apart to replace that (along with the fan and damper assemblies) I found out the new heater is a different shape altogether. The old heater is a rectangle about 4" x 7-8" and the new heater is "L" shaped with one leg being 2"x9" and the short leg being about 2"x4" with the corner of the "L" being where the leads come off. Also the lead is shorter than the original. The part number appears to be correct, so I assume it is the right heater, but I am not sure exactly where to install it. Has anyone seen a bulletin on a change to the shape or on where they want it installed? There are studs that stick out of back of the mounting surface and there is one hole in the new heater (there were 4 or 5 in the old one) so I imagine it is supposed to line up on one of those studs, but I don't know which one.

Any help would be appreciated.
