hi guys, 6 months ago the side by side fridge was clicking by the control unit. you could hear the fridge start and then click off. would do this for 15 to 20 minutes. i searched online decided it was probably the timer...it was replaced 6 months ago. since then, it would click every couple of days for same amount of time. today i had to manually defrost it, the coils were a block of frost. also inside fridge side there was ice directly on other side of wall as the coils. i do remember, after replacing the timer, i did see the heater glowing at one point. do you think it would be the thermostat? i dont have a volt meter.

You can check the defrost thermostat by unplugging it and wrapping the wires together to see if it defrosts.
The clicking may be the timer slipping so not working.

Follow the instructions from the tech sheets to enter the electronic control defrost test mode. Post the results. Gene.
