Does the dryer felt drum seal, GE part no WE9M30 (AppliancePartsPro no AP4319934) require a high temperature adhesive when it is installed? The seal that tore loose didn't appear to have any adhesive.

There are no any instructions requiring an adhesive. You probably do not need it, especially if there is no evidence of any adhesive on the old part.
