Hi. My Jenn-Air DW860B DISHWASHER does not clean as well as it used to. The inside of the dishwasher stays a little dirty and plates and glasses aren't getting as clean. I've looked at the spray arm and it appears not to be clogged. The water gets hot still. Any ideas on how to improve performance?

There is a plastic "filter" under the spray arm that sometimes becomes clogged. You would need to remove the spray arm and some components of the filter assembly.

refer to Pump & motor replacement parts for Jenn-Air DW860B DISHWASHER- UNDERCOUNTER | AppliancePartsPros.com
#47 is the filter. Sometimes you can clean the filter and get better performance. Also there are many cleaners designed specifically for dishwashers that will help reduce hard water/calcium build up. I've had good luck with "dishwasher magic".

Hope this helps.

Another thing to check is the water level.
Most units fill to just under the heating element.

If you suspect a low fill problem you can check it by adding a quart or two of hot water after each fill during a cycle. If the dishes wash OK now then low fill is the probable cause of your problem.
Often the pump will growl when it s starving for water.
Just be careful to not overfill the unit.

Usually low fill is due to a partially clogged fill valve.
Remove the valve and check/clean the screen filter on the input side of the valve.
Do not permanently remove it as it is there to keep crud out of the valve. This could hold the valve open and cause a flood.
