The stove has really only been in operation maybe 3 years at most, but the oven stopped igniting.

All the burners work including the ones that cycle off and on to provide that low flame setting Thermador likes to brag about. The oven broiler works fine too. All this leads me to believe the PC Board is fine, or maybe just the relay to the oven ignitor on the board is bad.

Thermador-blessed repair man came out and replaced part 610364 labelled the "Control Unit" described as the "CONTROL UNIT, HSI". The smaller board under the burners, accessible by taking right most two burners and spill tray out. I got all these part names from Thermador's own parts site, but they're obviously more expensive.

This failed to solve the problem and he claimed it was likely part 649291 labelled the "PC board" described as the "SERVICE KIT, CONTROL BOARD W/ UNIV MODEL SELECTOR, '09" just north of the smaller board. Paid him $250 and he went on his merry way. :( We've been without an oven for several months now. :mad:

I took out the igniter and OHMS tested it, and everything reads fine. I also attached my RMS meter to the power line that plugs into the base of the ignitor and grounded the meter to essentially the same place the ignitor grounds to, and then turned the oven on. It dumps 100 VAC into meter each time it tries to ignite. What should this reading be? 100 VAC sounds low. :confused:

I believe part 644424 labelled the "Ignition Device" described as "IGNITOR HSI, NITRIDE" is a heat sensor and not sensing any heat indicating ignited gas tells the PC Board as much and the board shuts off the gas, and then PC Board cycles turning the gas back on, attempts to ignite the gas, gives up... again, and again... It would do this forever if I left it to it own devices.

I've emailed Thermador for my wiring diagram. It seemed to go missing the day the repair man was here... :mad: Any idea where I could get that if Thermador is not forthcoming? :confused:

Also, the oven's blue indicator lights don't blink to indicate a problem.
