Set the oven for 350 and it only reaches 200. Display actually shows 350 but a thermometer inside the oven shows only 200 degrees. I can feel heat from the broil element but the bake element is covered, not sure if it glows.
In diagnostics mode I get:
71 degrees U-00 user offset S105 software version 31Fb memory checksum Good board check 782 hours run time 01 door closed
When I break out the trusty multimeter and consult the tech sheet I get:
oven temp sensor - meter says 1096 ohms, sheet says 1000-1200 at room temp Thermo fuse - meter says 39 ohms, sheet says it should be 0 ohms Bake element - meter says 22 ohms, sheet says 10-40 ohms Broil element - meter says 16 ohms, sheet says 10-40 ohms
I have no clue what's wrong. I've replaced the cord(used the old one when we bought this one, worth a shot), replaced the oven sensor(anybody want to buy one, only used once?), I've swore at it, gone to church over it.....the only reason I haven't picked it up and thrown it out the window is because with my luck I'd get a hernia.....help please...

Here are your parts.
I am assuming that the oven comes ready.
It sounds like the unit thinks it is at 350 but is not. Since you have already changed the oven sensor we can assume that the control board is receiving the proper information on the temperature but is not using that info correctly. So odds are high that the control board is toast.
I would check the sensor connection at the control board for a dirty connector or cold solder joint. Cold solder joints are often a duller gray and/or may have pin holes. Also sometimes if you gently wiggle the component/connector you can see the part's leg move on the solder side of the board.
If it looks OK then I would replace the board. |
