Hi,

I'm trying to fix my dishwasher. The dishwasher doesn't advance beyond the wash cycle on it's own. The tub fills with water, the heater heats the water, but the water doesn't get distributed to the rest of the chamber. Moreover, water is left in the tub after the cycle is canceled. Same if just the rinse cycle is used.

After eliminating the possibility of a problem with the air gap, I checked the continuity of the contacts on the motor. They all are fine.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Is the motor the problem? Could it be the control board?

Thanks for the suggestion. The motor does not turn on. The service manual indicates the control panel may be inoperable. The panel is responsive and the led's light up. Do you think its worthwhile to check the pin connections?

No water leaked on the pump or anywhere else.

I tested continuity in the the pump wires between violet and blue, grey, and yellow -- all were good. So I checked for 110V AC across the red-black (P10) and blue (P3), grey (P5), and yellow (P4) on the circuit control board (while in the post fill segment of the wash cycle) -- I didn't detect any voltage. However, I did see voltage across red-black (P10) and white (P7), and blue-black (P9).

Is it conclusive that the circuit is malfunctioning? Any ideas what might have gone? If I can, I'd like to be able to replace just a small electronic component rather than the whole electronic circuit board.
