In the previous thread I started, I was convinced I had this issue figured out so I was moving on to the smaller issues. Now it's apparent that I don't have it figured out.
It's a Maytag Neptune Model MHS2000AWW. First of all, I'll describe the location in case that has any implications. It's in the basement so it has to pump it's waste water uphill.
It's been having problems for a long time now. Occasionally (sometimes more frequently than others) it will have sopping wet cloths when it completes the wash cycle. You have to run in through the last portion of the wash cycle again, and sometimes multiple times to get it to clean the water out of the tub so that you can move the cloths to the dryer.
Recently it has initiated a pattern where it stops occasionally mid cycle. I pulled the supply hoses off and replaced the screens (which were very clogged) but it still stops. The stopping has become more frequent, to the point where it's nearly unbearable trying to get any clothes washed. The last couple of cycles we tried before we started working on it, it would stop very frequently.
As a diagnostics step, we pulled the waste hose off of the drain pipe that goes to the sewer system and we let it run in to 5 gallon buckets. We were able to go through 2 complete wash cycles and the washer did not stop mid cycle a single time. We decided that it must be that there is a plug in the pipes that lead to our sewer system that prevents flow out the waste pipe. We ran a snake down the pipes and didn't come up against any convincing obstructions so we attached a garden hose to the pipe and ran water through the pipes that way and water freely ran to the sewer system through the drain pipe for the washer. We thought maybe we had broken something loose so we tried again. The washer stopped the first time it had to drain the tub in the cycle. I put the hose in the 5 gallon bucket again and turned the washer on and then tried to restrict the flow of water into the waste bucket. The waste pump on the washer was generating plenty of pressure. If I had wanted to I could have sprayed all over the place like you would if you were trying to wash your car without a nozzle on the end of your garden hose.
So in my mind, the waste pump is still good, the drain is clean, but somehow the difference between pumping uphill and pumping into a 5 gallon bucket is still causing problems. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

The model number you posted does not come up anywhere. That means we are not able to find any technical information for this model. Unfortunately, without diagrams, schematics, parts list and/or manual we are not able to provide any accurate advice for you.

I find it odd that it's not possible to find model information. If I search google for that model number I find multiple threads about incomplete draining. Do they eventually get rid of old parts and service manuals?
I have solved the stopping frequently by finally getting a sump pump installed in the basement so the washer does not have to do the heavy lifting. Still doesn't always drain completely though. Haven't been able to catch it in the act yet, but I suspect it's not actually spinning in the spin cycle.
