I checked the water line behind the unit and it is empty...however water is coming into the Amana because it still dispenses glasses of water.
There's no freezing of water.

I went to the back of the fridge and pulled the water line
from the inlet and there was no water being supplied. However, the water dispenser works so this tells me
that the solenoid valve must be ok.

Is there another valve that provides the water supply to the line that goes tothe icemaker?

Please advise ASAP!

You have a dual water inlet valve. One side can work and the other not. Swap the wires on the valves and try the water switch. Water should then go to the ice maker letting you know if that valve works.

Could I simply purchase a replacement valve as wwe know one of them is bad?

I think this is the part...yes?
