My frig had a major defrost problem a couple weeks ago. I took everything out of the freezer and did a manual defrost with a hair dryer. I check the heater and the coil had/has continuity. A couple days ago, the temperature display in the freezer and the refrigerator went out. No display and a weird buzzing noise. I opened up the back panel to find a fried Main Board. I went to a local shop and picked up a new board. I installed the board and plugged the frig back in. Everything started up fine and I though the problem was fix. BUT the temperature never got to the correct settings (after 5+ hours of running). I open up the back panel and the new board is fried in the same resister. Can anyone tell me what part would cause this failure? Thank you

If the evaporator fan motor also failed to run, it probably blew out the driver on the new board. Voltage measurements on the motherboard would confirm.
You could pull the motor.If you turn the shaft and it feals rough, you have bad bearings in the motor.
