whirlpool washer won't drain or spin, lid switch OK

My Whirlpool washer cycle stops after the agitation part. It will not drain or spin. The pump and hoses are free and clear. I have jumped the lid switch and it still will not drain or spin. The timer is humming, but there is no sound from the motor after agitation. All wiring connections seam tight and correct. I am stumped. Any ideas?

Sure sounds like the lid switch. I would use a test meter to test continuity for the lid switch, and then use the volt meter function to test for 110-120 v AC going through the lid switch connector part coming from the console.
If you do not have 110-120 v ac coming through the connector when it is supposed to be draining and spinning then the timer is suspect.
