I have a whirlpool ultimate care II washer - I cannot find any other model number anywhere on it but it looks like someone spray painted it so maybe it got painted over. Anyway, it won't spin or agitate. I took apart the agitator and flipped the dogs like someone suggested and then noticed there is a belt underneath that looks pretty beat up. can't figure out how to get it off. Any suggestions?

The name plate with the model and serial numbers is usually under the lid.

Without proper model number it is impossible to remotely diagnose a problem and/or find a replacement parts.

I found the model # - LSQ8243HQ0 (paint thinner worked wonders) and followed your instructions i found on the website on replacing the motor coupling, however the upper portion does not agitate quite right. It seems slow. Someone suggested replacing the dogs - your thoughts?

Good job!

If the clothes mover (top part of the agitator) is not oscillating, it can be easy fixed with the agitator repair kit.

- The agitator repair kit Part number: 285809
