My Kenmore Elite dryer will start when pushing the start button, but as soon as you quit holding the start button in, the dryer stops running. What could be the problem?

Open up the control panel, and see if you have a electronic control board mounted back there. If so it is most likely your culprit. The symptom is normally, the dryer will run, as long as I hold the switch down. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
