My dishwasher is 2 years old and in the past week, it has stopped draining during the cycle. When I first noticed this happening, I suspected it may have been clogged in the garbage disposal, so I ran it and then attempted to drain the dishwasher and it was fine. However, it seems to have "progressed" now that it wouldn't drain after ensuring the garbage disposal was clear. I took the hose off leading to the disposal and attempted to drain it into a tub.

When it attempts to empty the drain, you hear it "kick" on for 1 second, off for one second, on for 1 second, off for one second, and then it runs continuously attempting to drain. It still isn't draining all of the water out of the filter cup assembly. You may view this in the short clip linked here. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Dishwasher - YouTube

Pull the dishwasher out of the cabinet. Remove the drain pump and check the impeller. Check the sump connector.
