My Kenmore freezer will not defrost on it's own. I replaced the control board, replaced the thermostat and tested the heating element. Any other ideas? I can't figure out what's wrong. Thanks!

Hi.

Could you, please describe more detailed the symptoms, the frost pattern on the evaporator and post the part numbers that you had replaced.

Thank you.

Simon.

The control board is 12566102. I replaced it last night.
The thermostat is R0131454. I replaced it a few weeks ago.

The evaporator is freezing up. It is not defrosting. Since last night it has become a large block of snow.

We did manually defrost it a few weeks ago. It took two weeks to freeze up this bad that time.

Let me know if you need anything else. Thank you.

Hi.

Check all the connectors and plugs in the freezer.

If everything checks OK - then, in my opinion, you have a bad cold control/freezer control.

The freezer control Part number: 12351007
Part number: 12351007

Thank you. Post the results.

Simon.

Hi.

Have you defrosted the evaporator after replacing the cold control?
It's hard to believe that evaporator freezes up like on the picture you attached in just one day.
Check again the defrost heater and all connections.

I'm sorry. I'm trying to help my husband. Hence the delay in parts/replacement. He was sick and then had a bypass. You are correct. That is the old photo I posted. The new one is below. I will try again tonight. Maybe there's frozen back beyond what I can see. I will make sure everything is attached and defrost again. Thank you. I do greatly appreciate your help.
