I ordered and received the start relay and overload parts as listed inappliance parts pro catalog for my refrigerator. However, the connections are entirely different. The old relay has three separate connections and the new has only two. In addition, the new relay has female receptacles instead of the male spades the old part has. There were no instructions or replacement connectors with the new part.
What do I do with the extra wire? I assume it has to be tied in with another wire. But then I know what assuming can do.

Hi.
If the new part number is W10189190 you need to connect red and white wires to the male contacts and illuminate the blue wire to the capacitor. The 2 female contacts are for the run capacitor.Use the old one.
Thank you. Post the results.
Simon.

Simon. Simon, There is no red or blue wire in this part of the circuitry. Also, how is the condenser cooling fan motor connected into the circuit? Jim

Hi.
Well, you need to find two wires - Common and Hot carrying 120VAC between them to the compressor, connect them to the mail contacts and get reed of the two wires to the run capacitor. Attach the old cap to the new start devise. The condenser motor is in parallel to the compressor.
Thank you. Post the results.
Simon.
