My Bosch dishwasher SHX46A was not working properly --cycles taking hours longer than usual, dishes not clean and sanitize light not coming on. New control board was installed and still had problem; found out heater was not coming on--the new board was defective. Replaced with another new board and now the dishes are getting clean but the sanitize light will only come on after using the pot scrubber plus cycle or the delicate cycle. The light does not come on when using the regular cycle. What could be the problem?

Hi Jane! I am having the same problem with my Bosch dishwasher (same model) and was wondering if you figured out what the problem was? We had a new control board installed last week and now the sanitized light comes on in every cycle except for the regular wash.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, no one has been able to figure out why it is doing this. The only thing the repairmen can come up with is that Bosch has changed the control board so the light does not work in that cycle. Three different boards were tried and they all worked the same. Have not been able to get an answer from Bosch as to why this is happening. If you find out the reason, please let me know. Thanks!

Well, we had our technician come back out today to look at it and he couldn't figure it out either. I am going to try lowering our household water supply and see if that forces the light to come on and he is going to talk to a couple other people he knows that works on these units and get back to me. Everything seems to be working fine except the light not coming on in the regular cycle. So strange that Bosch can't answer the question either. it must be a common thing with these new control boards. Hmmm...

I will let you know if I find anything else out...

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly!
