Is there a good way to determine which part is causing the problem of not defrosting in my side by side refrigerator? Whithin a week after manually defrosting it, it is heating up and there is frost on the back of the freezer again. I've looked up parts and found a "thermostat defrost" and "heater & bracket ASM". Could either of these be my problem and if so got any steps for removal and replacement. I hate to guess as I live several miles out of the nearest town. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP :)

Take the back cover off the back of the freezer. Place the leads of an amp meter on each end of the heater. It should show continuity. If not it's bad.
The defrost thermostat is clamped to the coils which have the ice buildup on them. There's two wires. It should show continuity when cold and not when warm. It's bad if it doesn't.

If those are ok then its your main control board, part 801 on your diagram of your Sealed system & mother board. http://http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=210323
