I have read the other post with similar problems - none of which seem to apply.
Freezer at 0 degrees, Ref at 50.No ice buildup, fans seem to run fine, food flow of cold air when damper door is open. So far, I have replaced damper control sensor, and main board, made no difference.
What else??
Thanks Dwight

Is the damper door now staying open? There is a return vent at the bottom. Make sure it's not blocked.

No control for the bottom vent, it just has to be clear. If the damper is not staying open you still have a problem with the damper control or possibly the asm part 424 on the diagram of your fresh food section. Replacement parts for GE GSS20IEPHWW | AppliancePartsPros.com

Prop the damper open to keep the fridge cold while you're working on it.

To prop open the damper door causes the ref to stay in defrost, i think,
or at least it causes excessive thawing in freezer

On refrigerators with just a mechanical damper control the damper stays partially open all the time once the proper position is found. The more open it is the more cold air will go into the fridge.
