I've got a Neptune FL washer(SN A9520806ER). If I don't remove the clothes immediately after the last spin cycle they need to be spun out again before being put in the dryer. It seems like after the spin cycle water is seeping back into the basket. Is it possible the check valve is clogged or faulty and allowing the water in the drain hose to back up into the basket?

- I assume the check valve in question is part of the drain pump assembly and that the whole assembly would have to be replaced?

- If I order a drain pump, which one is right for my SN and do any other parts need to be replaced at the same time as the drain pump?

First check and see if the problem is in the inlet valve assembly. It could have some dirt in the valves and not be closing properly, letting water into the machine.

You can do this easily by turning off the water valves immediately after the final spin. If the clothes remain dry than the problem is the valves.

I turned the water supply off after the final spin cycle and removed the clothes. Normally I would check back in 15 minutes and would see some water pooled in the basket. This time, no water.....

So I will check the inlet valves... Is it likely just some kind of obstruction or do are these parts prone to fail?

The valves can sometimes get grit in them and not close completely. This is not uncommon.

Sounds like if you change out the valve assembly you should be fine.

I'll take it apart and see if I can find a blockage. If I don't see anything obvious and want to replace the inlet is AP4029160 the right part number for my machine? (SN A9520806ER)

Check with APP on the part, and make sure you have the model and serial number.

These parts are usually not repairable, but give it a try.
