I have replaced a rusting basket, support pads, all springs, new spring brackets (were very rusty). Machine no longer moves violently across the floor (banging noise is gone). Leveled several times. Even empty while spinning at high speed still out of balance; now lightly impacting cabinet side or outer drum lightly. Good 1 - 2" shake yet. What is left? Bearing and seal kit or new tub support or new T bearing ? or new thrust bearing (same bearing?) ? No grease leakage, no water leakage any where.

From the description of rust I would think that a whole lot of bleach has gotten into the frame of this machine.

Given its age I think a new model is appropriate. And if the rust damage is from bleach, use it more judiciously in the future.
