I have a 7 year Kenmore side by side fridge/freezer model # 106.41212101 that is blowing warm air in the freezer and fridge side.
Removed back panel and the black compressor is hot ,fan to the right is running,I can here the starter/capacitor relay clicking on/off a couple of times, then will not click anymore, hand feel the pipes to evaporator and condensor both feel the same temperature. If I tap on starter relay nothing happens, fridge was working perfect and then just quit.
My wife believes two days ago she smelled propane odor, this would be correct for the food all being thawed today ,two days later. Any help would be great.
The other visual/audible thing i dont hear is the compressor motor humming when the starter relay clicks as comparing to another operational refrigerator, has anybody seen the starter relays failing?

Unplug the refrigerator and let the compressor to cool down. Replace the start relay and overload which hopefully will fix the problem. If not then the compressor has gone bad and, in that case it has to be replaced by a certified technician. - The part number for the start relay and overload assembly is AP3108472Gene.
