Hello all and thanks for helping me out. I have a GE Profile model # PDS22SFSBLSS. For the last few months ive noticed a knocking/clicking sound coming from the fridge. Naturally i ignored it like an idiot :( Last night i come home to find the temp control is out, no led readings for the freezer or refrigerator. Hitting any of the buttons doesnt do anything. I have power to the fridge as the light comes on when the door is open. All the food is shot and temp is warm in both fridge and freezer. Can anyone suggest what part or parts i might need please?

Much appreciated folks!

Thank you.

Zaksbro, A clicking or knocking noise from the fridge, usually doesn't involve the control assembly, but. You'll need to check for power into and out of the "motherboard" in the back of the fridge.

Part number: AP4436216
Part number: AP4436216

Here's some help:

Hi.

Most likely the problem is main control board.
It's located at the back, behind cover plate.
When installing the new board read the instructions. You may need to make some adjustments.

The main control board Part number: WR55X10942
Part number: WR55X10942

Thank you. Post the results.

Would anyone know what voltages I should be reading on the main control board? The schematic doesn't seem to show it. I'm reading 124v in and between 40-46volts on all the jumper pins I can get to on the top of the board.

Thanks again.

Hi there. So I swapped out the main board and waiting for temps to drop. One thing: I did not see any green wire to cut or a capacitor plastic housing. My model has a black capacitor with 2 wires ( neither are green). Am I ok??

Thanks again.

Thanks. I guess what I'm unsure about is if I'm identifying the part correctly. The instructions show this: https://www.sugarsync.com/pf/D7423183_801_68540661

And I don't have anything that looks like that.

Zaksbro, Your OK. Follow the instructions as it applies to your refrigerator and you'll do fine. This motherboard kit is designed to replace the control board on several versions and date ranges on the refrigerators, that use this system.

You're doing fine,
