I have a GE drop-in range on which the electronic control has gone south. Not available. Since we have to replace anyway, wife wants slide-in instead of drop-in. Is there typically any modification besides cutting the mop board required for this change?

Thanks.

You may have to shim the legs or bring the flooring under the cabinet up to the same height of the finish floor.

That was my main concern. She at first wanted a free standing model put in, but I told here that might lead to a problem when we cut the back splash and the back inch or so of the counter top.
Thanks for the reply.

Hi there,
I saw your post. We are considering doing the same thing and was wondering how it went for you. Were there complications with the different wiring and building up your existing cabinets (and cutting the back countertop)?
Just curious before we start making any big purchases.
Thanks.
