I am trying to help out some friends with their ancient Amana oven. The unit itself is in spotless condition. The complaint is that the oven does not get hot enough.

Its easiest for me just to swap out parts. But the problem I'm running into is that the temperature sensor for the oven seems to be one whole unit with the thermostat. The part number I find is Y0316507. No one is making this any more. Any suggestions on what I can do. This part has never been replaced, and I'm suspecting the main cause of the problem.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Hi,

I see the appliancepartspro site list Y0316507 as Not Available/Contact Us.

If you have contacted APP and they don't have one I have a source for them, but can't post the link for it here.

You may contact me through my site if you would like me to share my resource for them.

Would you be willing to email me? bipinsen _at_ hotmail [dot] com

I just went there, and I have to go through a whole registration process for an account I might not ever use again. Thanks!
