 I am trying to figure out where the defrost timer is located on my refrigerator. I have looked at the diagram on the site but before I tear into my freezer thought I would just get confirmation on where it was exactly. Does anyone know? I have issues with my coils not defrosting and it is keeping the cold air from going to my refrigerator. I would also like to check my defrost thermostat as well but don't know where any of those things are located. I have defrosted my coils once and found a small tear in the side of the inside freezer wall, anyone have a way to repair it? Not sure what caused it since there is nothing around it that could have done it, the tear is at least one inch from the heater coils.

I downloaded the pictures but I must be brain dead. Is the picture showing me that I have to remove the fan wheel assembly to get to the timer? or is the timer up above the fan wheel? I'm not stupid I just don't want to break something if I can avoid it. Thanks

Its in the frig section, not the freezer. Its way to the rear on the Right side at the top, above the cover for the controls, Order the control and have it in your hand before starting, This way, you only have to take it apart once!!!!

This information helps tremendously. Not sure I am up to the wiring though but at least I can check to see if it really is the timer. Did either of you have any suggestions on how to repair the inside of the freezer compartment that has a tear in it? Thanks again for all of your help!:)
