When turning on either the top or bottom of our Double oven (not convection), a loud vibrating sound seems to be coming from the top of the lower oven. I think it could be the blower motor. Is there only one motor for both ovens? Would both need to be replaced? Also, from what I read, are the whirlpool and kitchen-aid parts inter-changable?

Hi.

There are two blowers - one for each oven. They are different and fully independent from each other.
Replacement of the blower fan requires pulling the oven out.
Let me know if you need instructions.

Seems odd both motors would go out at the same time. Could it be anything else?

In you own words: vibrating sound seems to be coming from the top of the lower oven.

Is it coming from the top oven or the bottom oven?

According to information you provided, I assumed that it's coming from bottom.

Vibrations sound like it is located in the proximity of the center of the the two ovens. If I turn on top oven, bottom oven, or both ovens, the sound is the same. Do both blower motors operate from the same circuit? Thus when either oven is on, I am hearing the bad motor??

Hi.

I recommend you to remove the oven and find exactly where the noise comes from.

Simon,

I need to replace the blower in a kitchen aid kdrp467kss09. Are there any instructions to show how to get the blower out and install new one?

Hi.

To replace the blower:

Turn the power off.

Pull the range away from the wall.

Remove two braces and rear panel.

Remove blower motor cover (4 screws).

Remove blower motor assembly (5 screws).

Good luck.

Simon.

I read on another forum that it is possible that the top blower operates when either oven is turned on. Is this accurate? Given the size of this unit I would like to only pull it out once.

Hi.

You are right: both fans come on when either oven is on.
