the front loader is making a banging noise during spin and the clothes come out still dripping. The springs are intact and the shocks seem to be ok, but I am not sure what a bad shock looks like. what should do next on the trouble shooting trail?

I sat down and ran the entire with no load in the machine and the springs and shocks are fine. However, the inner tub does wiggle back and forth about 1.25 inches when I reach around and hold the back of the tub steady. During fast spin I watched the pulley and it is rocking back and forth, causing a little squeak rather than the banging. after running a light load of clothes one more time, they are still dripping. The fast spin cycle is not happening. The cause seems to be a failed rear bearing. Does anyone else concur?

so it is off to appliance heaven for the GE and hello to a new front load washer with the steam option. Iit looks great next the 11 year old dryer which has not yet broken down beyond my fixing at the moment.
