I have a modern maid stove and oven. Oven is above stove, and my dishwasher is below stove. My oven was working one day and then it quit working, it barely heats up now even on highest setting. It also has a grounded outlet just below the oven part which is now dead. I also on have two operational burners. I cant seem to find anything relating to my oven/stove combo and am desperate to know if i can get it fixed and how to do so. Its Serial Number is 27164, i fear it is very old. What do I do? How can I fix it? Or do i just need to replace it?:(

I was hoping someone else would jump in who had info on this unit.
I have no info so cannot be of much help.

It does sound like a wire or connection has failed since you lost the oven, the receptacle and 2 stove top elements all at the same time.
I am assuming that the other stove top elements work OK.

I would remove power from the unit and trace the wiring to/from the effected parts. Trying to find a connection/wire that is common to them.

If all elements (oven and stove top) do not heat up correctly then odds are you have a power problem.
Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times. The breaker should actually be two breakers ganged together. If your house has fuses check both of them.

If that does nothing then you will have to check for 240 volts at the oven/stove top.
Unless you have some experience working with electricity I would leave this to a pro.

The oven element sounds like it is burned out. That is one part you maybe able to find at a parts warehouse. The electric burners may just need the contacts cleaned to make them work. A lot of grease can get down around the contacts which builds up over time. The bad news is Modern maid is out of business so any parts are hard to find. Some new parts can be found at parts warehouses but maybe expensive. Craig's list and ******** can be sources for used models that may share the parts you need.
