I have a GE dishwasher that dosn't pump out. There are two pumps on the machine one is hooked up with the motor and the other stands alone. Can you tell me which is the pump out pump?
Thanks Paul

The one that stands alone. If it is dead, and you hear nothing in the pump out cycle, it will most likely be the pump. If the pump comes on, and it does not drain, you could have a clogged drain line. Pull the drain hose off, at the dishwasher, and where ever it goes under the sink, and take it out side, and put the water hose to it, and be sure it is clear. The other question is, did anybody put a new garbage disposal in? If so, they might not have knocked out the drain plug. Tom

Here are your parts Replacement parts for GE GSD5620D00BB | AppliancePartsPros.comIf it is pumping out but not fully, check the "Piston & nut" Item 564 in the "Motor-pump" section. It is under the cover at the rear of the tub (has a fine screen). I believe it is a reverse thread but am not 100% sure on this. If it is not sealing correctly you will have excessive water left in the bottom of the tub. |
